The hotel had clean and comfortable rooms but lacked in amenities like air conditioning and laundry facilities. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The location, although a bit sad with maintenance issues, could be improved. The dining was a mix of overpriced items and amazing dishes. The facilities needed enhancements, particularly in the pool area.

The hotel offers stunning views but falls short with cleanliness issues and noise disturbances from upstairs. The wooden floors are a must-have but are well below average quality. The staff is friendly and apologetic, though overwhelmed with ongoing renovations. The remote location overlooks the water, but upkeep costs may pose challenges. The dining experience, while mediocre, is enhanced by the waterfront restaurant. However, improvements like 'Wet & Forget' for cleanliness are needed around the pool area.

The hotel apartment was in desperate need of updating with no air conditioning or fans, and we had issues with a dysfunctional toilet that required us to be moved. The wooden ceiling above our room was also a concern. The staff were chatty and helpful but seemed overwhelmed with renovations. However, they did cook me a wonderful vegetarian curry. The overall location of the hotel was tired and cold, needing a renovation, especially for hiking Queen Charlotte. The restaurant and decks offered an old-style resort feel but could be improved with maintenance. The dining experience at the associated restaurant/bar was mediocre at best, though the home-baked bread was a slight highlight.
